This is what the citizens of Garrard County will be seeing rolling down the streets . During the month of April, Garrard County Emergency Medical Services took delivery of a brand new ambulance. The ambulance which was manufactured by Wheeled Coach inc of Florida, is mounted on a 2012 Chevrolet C-3500 Chassis. Which features a new color scheme designed by EMS Director Chuck O'Neal. Some of the features include,state of the art Whelen LED emergency lighting package, Onspot tires chains which provide for better traction during slick road conditions and shorter wheel base than our existing ambulances which provides for a more sharp turning radius, more easy to navigate rural county roads.The new ambulance, known to GCEMS as "EMS-2" was placed online last week as a first out ALS ambulance.
GCEMS' Bike Medical Unit was implemented by NREMT-B Michael Mullins. the team consist of 5 personnel. Members are of the following;

The team has the ability to provide both advanced life support and basic life support. The bike medical unit will be deployed at various special events throughout the year.
